This housebound photo contest has captured snapshots of lockdown around the world

Photographers have limited resources during lockdown. Snappers used to  grand vistas and exotic foreign lands have had to settle for their living room windows, and selfies have become more necessity than trend.

Even the average phone camera reel was once filled with friends, bars and social events, and Zoom parties don’t provide quite the same visual stimulation.

A photo competition from Agora challenged the world’s photographers to submit their best snapshots of lockdown – and more than 15,000 of them responded. Judges have announced the 50 finalists, so here are our top picks…
